Terms of use
The conditions that come with using this website, watching the streams and taking part in the chat.
Last updated: 12 October 2026. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
What this site is
nz1aviation.com is the website of the NZ1 Aviation YouTube channel. It is provided as it is, free of charge, and may be changed or taken down at any time. The site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any airport, airline, air navigation service provider or civil aviation authority.
Information is not operational
Everything shown here and on the streams — flight details, aircraft identification, routes, runway in use, weather, METAR and TAF — is gathered from public sources for the interest of people watching. It may be delayed, incomplete or wrong.
None of it may be used for any operational purpose. Do not use it for flight planning, navigation, dispatch, meeting an aircraft, or any decision where being wrong matters. Use official sources. No liability is accepted for any loss arising from reliance on anything shown here.
Footage and copyright
Video, audio, commentary, graphics, overlays, the NZ1 Aviation name and the logo are the property of NZ1 Aviation unless stated otherwise, and are protected by copyright.
You are welcome to link to a stream or to this site, and to share it, anywhere you like. You may not re-upload, mirror, restream, compile or monetise the footage without written permission. Short clips may be used in news reporting, review or commentary with clear on-screen credit to NZ1 Aviation and a link to the channel.
To licence footage for commercial use, email admin@nz1aviation.com with what you need and when.
Third-party material
Air traffic control audio is public radio transmission, relayed under the conditions that apply where the stream is made. Aircraft data comes from volunteer-run ADS-B networks. Weather data comes from a third party provider. Airline names, liveries and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify the aircraft being filmed.
Taking part in the chat
Live chat happens on YouTube and is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Community Guidelines as well as these terms. In addition:
- Keep it civil. Abuse, harassment, slurs and spam are removed and repeat offenders are blocked.
- Do not post anyone's personal information, including registrations tied to a named private individual.
- Do not post anything that could compromise airport or aircraft security.
- Moderators and the livestream operator may remove, hide or decline to show any message at any time, for any reason.
By sending a message in the chat of an NZ1 Aviation livestream, you accept that it may be shown on screen during the broadcast together with your public display name and channel picture, and that it will therefore appear in the recording of that stream. How that data is handled is set out in the privacy policy.
Donations
Donations through Super Chat, Buy Me a Coffee or PayPal are voluntary gifts supporting the running costs of the channel. They buy no goods, services, membership entitlement (outside of the YouTube membership tier benefits) or editorial influence, and are not refundable except where the law requires it or the payment provider's own policy applies. A donation message may be shown on screen, and may be declined or edited if it breaks the chat rules above.
Spotting safely
If the streams prompt you to go spotting yourself: stay off airport property unless you have permission, never interfere with operations, obey signage and staff, and do not use anything — lasers, drones, lights — that could affect an aircraft. What you do is your responsibility.
Liability
This site and its content are provided without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, NZ1 Aviation is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site, the streams, or anything obtained through them. Nothing here limits rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The date at the top shows when they last were. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.
